Dhokla
Dhokla is a nutritious and delicious Gujarati sweet snack made from fermented gram flour batter. Dhokla Recipe
prepare content
1 cup gram flour
1/2 cup semolina
1 cup curd
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Eno (Eno)
Salt as per taste
1 tablespoon oil
For tempering
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
some curry leaves
2-3 green chilies, chopped
Step 1: Make the Mixture
First of all, prepare a thick batter by mixing gram flour, semolina, curd, turmeric powder and salt in a vessel.
Step 2: Release the mixture
Leave the mixture for 15-20 minutes without boiling.
Step 3: Prepare the Dhokla Stand
Take a dhokla stand and grease it well with oil so that the dhokla does not stick to the stand and it becomes easy to remove.
Step 4: Add Eno
Now add Eno to the dissolved mixture and then mix it well.
Step 5: Make Dhokla
Pour the prepared mixture into the dhokla stand and pour some oil on top.
Step 6: Boil and Cool
Boil the dhokla stand and let it cook on medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes till the dhokla is cooked. Remove the Dhokla stand from the fire and let it cool for a while.
Step 7: Season
For tadka, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies.
Step 8: Serve
Pour the tadka over the dhokla, and then cut the dhokla into small pieces. Delicious Dhokla is ready, serve it with green chutney and chilli!
